Affirmative action?

When it seemed as if the issue in regards to color discrimination was finally coming to better terms in the fashion industry this happens: Lara Stone, who is dutch, was shot for The Supermodel Edition of French Vogue, and styled by Carine Roitfeld and painted black. Yes, I will say it again: painted black. Everyone is talking about it, given the fact that the issue only included Caucasian models. Even Asians got excluded. Is this all necessary to sell issues of a magazine these days?

  1. luiz! you didnt even recognize the fact that everyone praises stone for being curvy and how this relates to her being chosen to be "black" there are like ten other issues tangled up in this! the french are good at their jobs! no one even cares about ralph laurens bad ads!
